It uses the same cutter as the larger machines so the finished mats are comparable. 4505 MAT CUTTING SYSTEM • I paint watercolors and use full-sized watercolor paper • I have large posters to mat • I need a full-sized portable machine to take to art shows The 4505 is larger than the 4501. It's 36" straightedge makes it easier for watercolorists to cut full-sized mats for their paintings. Some people prefer the brass-plated metal parts.
